More images: Tata Harrier spotted with production-spec body

A test mule of the Tata Harrier has been spotted near the Tata Motors Plant near Pune. The vehicle was seen in what is believed to be production-spec bodywork. 

The new set of images indicate that the car gets projector headlamps which are placed high on the bumper, rather than above it. A pair of round fog lamps is located below them. The vehicle has a V-shaped radiator grille with a wide air dam below. 

The car has flared wheel arches and is seen riding on 5-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, the car gets a tailgate with an integrated roof spoiler and slim wraparound tail lights. A pair of slim reflectors can be seen on the bumper.

The Harrier, which is based on the H5X Concept, will be the first vehicle to feature Tata Motors' Impact Design 2.0 design language. It is a 5-seater monocoque SUV based on Tata's new Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced (OMEGA) architecture, which has been developed in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover and is derived from the Land Rover D8 platform.

It is rumoured that the Harrier will come with a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that develops 140 BHP. The car is likely to get a 6-speed manual transmission, while rumours of a 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from Hyundai have also surfaced.

Tata Motors is expected to launch the Harrier in the first half of 2019.
