More images: Ford EcoSport facelift caught testing

The facelifted Ford EcoSport has been spotted yet again. The car is expected be launched with a new Dragon series petrol engine. This engine is believed to be a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder unit and could possibly replace the current 4-pot, 1.5-litre TiVCT. 

In July 2017, we had posted images of a Mars Red test mule of the EcoSport. The new spy shots reveal some more details of the car. The chrome-lined, hexagonal grille seems to be standard across the range and flanked by reworked headlights. Projector lights and DRLs have been integrated into the headlamp clusters. The front bumper has been redesigned to house fog lamps and large turn-indicators. The profile of the vehicle remains unchanged apart from the new 16-inch alloy wheels on the Titanium variant. Lower variants get redesigned wheel caps.

Ford does not seem to have updated the rear styling of the EcoSport. However, the spare wheel gets a new cover on the higher variants. The lower variant gets a 'Trend' badge, while the engine badges have been given a miss. Apart from that, the interiors are likely to be updated with a new dashboard, Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, new steering wheel and other features.
