Monsoon Madness in my Mahindra Scorpio N: Got stuck off-roading

However post lunch due to heavy rains the already slushy ground turned quite a deep slush pit. Overconfidence here resulted me in getting stuck.

Monsoon Madness

With the onset of monsoons, did some offroading at a private property with Bhpians. We had an open ground for ourselves which soon turned into a slush fest. The first round went well without getting stuck. However post lunch due to heavy rains the already slushy ground turned quite a deep slush pit. Overconfidence here resulted me in getting stuck. With stock HT tyres it was ideally a strict no for entering the ground but I still went in.

JCB to the rescue!

Got a DPF clogged error this time. It wasn't in limp mode hence I believe it was the first stage. The solution is to drive at higher revs for 20-25 minutes on a highway. I was worried as the route was not something where I could drive at that speed. But luckily after driving for about 5 mins at higher revs the error went away. Also during the offroading time I was revving hard till 4000-4500 rpm in the slush. Probably that cleared the DPF as well since I didn't get any error on return journey.

First monsoon drive

Rains were lashing Pune badly and with floods all around I couldn't venture out anywhere for treks. One weekend there was a breather so headed out to a place called Bhutonde which is at the foothills of Rajgad. Point was to visit the ancestral property of Yesaji Kank, army commander of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and if luck permits meet their actual descendants as well. The drive upto the village is very beautiful and scenic.

Always wanted to capture this after seeing SDP's XUV5OO pics
