Mini Clubman launched in India at Rs. 37.9 lakh

Mini has launched the new Clubman in India at a price of Rs. 37.9 lakh (ex-showroom). It has been launched in the Cooper S variant. This launch marks the introduction of the fifth product in Mini's India portfolio, after the Mini 3-door, 5-door, Convertible and the Countryman. The Clubman is also currently the largest Mini on sale in the country.

The new Clubman gets a redesigned front fascia, which includes a new front grille, updated headlamps and a tweaked bumper. The Clubman also features a unique two-door tailgate which, according to the company, ensures ease of loading luggage at the back.

On the inside, the Clubman retains design cues from other Mini cars offered in the country. The entire dashboard layout adopts a circular design theme. The centre console, instrument cluster, AC vents and even the door handles are circular in shape. Features on offer with the Clubman include electronic parking brake, electric seat adjustment, automatic tailgate, reverse parking sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels, airbags, ABS and stability control. It also gets a touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control.

The Mini Clubman in India is available with only a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which churns out 189 BHP and 280 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Mini claims that the Clubman Cooper S can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. The car has a company claimed fuel efficiency of 13.84 km/l.
