Mercedes-Benz GLE LWB gets two new variants - 450 & 400 d

Mercedes-Benz has introduced two new variants of the GLE LWB in India - GLE 450 petrol, priced at Rs. 88.80 lakh and GLE 400 d, priced at Rs. 89.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India, except Kerala).

The GLE 450 is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine with a 48-volt electrical system and an integrated starter / alternator. The engine produces 362 BHP @ 5,500-6,100 rpm and 500 Nm @ 1,600-4,500 rpm. An additional 21 BHP and 250 Nm is available through the EQ Boost function for short periods.

The GLE 400 d is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel engine that produces 326 BHP @ 3,600-4,000 rpm and 700 Nm @ 1,200-3,000 rpm. Both, the petrol and diesel engines come with a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The GLE 450 and GLE 400d come equipped with LED headlights and air-suspension. Both variants get a 360-degree camera, MBUX infotainment system, 4-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging as well as safety features such as Blind Spot Assist and Active Brake Assist.
