A video teaser of the Mercedes-AMG GT C has been released ahead of its official global premiere next month at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The GT C is essentially a convertible version of the AMG GT sportscar, which was unveiled at the last Paris Motor Show in 2014.
The upcoming Mercedes roadster is expected to have a soft top convertible roof, rather than a retractable hardtop. This choice would have been made in order to avoid the GT C from becoming too heavy. The convertible will likely sit between the GT S and the range topping GT R.
The Mercedes AMG GT C is expected to house the same 4.0-litre V8 engine that is found in its coupe sibling. Official output figures haven't yet been revealed. But since the GT C will be placed between the GT S that develops 503 BHP and the GT R that churns out 577 BHP, it is likely that the AMG GT C will have a power figure of around 530 BHP.
