Maruti teases "A Big Surprise" for the Baleno

Could it be a 1.0L turbo-petrol or just a special edition?

Maruti has released a new teaser video on Instagram with the text - "A Big Surprise is Coming Soon".

The caption says that an exciting surprise is on the way. But, there's no indication on what this surprise could be.

In October 2020, a pre-facelift version of the Baleno was spotted testing with updated alloy wheels. Rumours suggest that this could be the 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine making a comeback.

Other possibilities include a full-hybrid variant as well as an electric Baleno. Could it also be the BS6 1.5-litre diesel or just a special edition of the existing car?
