Maruti Suzuki NEXA: 200 showrooms up!

Maruti Suzuki has announced the opening of its 200th NEXA dealership in Hyderabad. The Kalyani Motors outlet is located in LB Nagar.

First introduced in July 2015, NEXA is Maruti's premium dealership chain, which was introduced to offer an exclusive experience to the automaker's premium car buyers. By reaching the 200th showroom mark within 18 months of launch, the NEXA chain has become India's fastest growing auto retail channel. Interestingly, various MNC brands that have been present in the Indian market for over a decade are still short of touching the 200th showroom mark, case in point: Chevrolet with just 178 showrooms across the country.

Maruti claims to have sold over 1.85 lakh cars from the NEXA dealerships in the past 18 months. The company is now aiming to touch the 2 lakh sales mark by March 2017. Currently, NEXA dealerships are present in 121 cities across the country. The automaker further plans on expanding the NEXA network to 250 showrooms by the end of FY 2016-17.

Currently, Maruti sells the Ignis, Baleno and S-Cross from the NEXA chain. The upcoming Baleno RS will also be retailed through NEXA showrooms.
