Maruti Suzuki Jimny 3-door spotted in Mumbai

In India, Maruti plans to introduce the 5-door version of the Jimny.

A 3-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny has been spotted in Mumbai. This made-in-India Jimny is headed for left-hand drive markets.

The 3-door Jimny for the international markets is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 101 BHP and 130 Nm. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.

In India, Maruti plans to introduce the 5-door version of the Jimny. It will be longer than the 3-door version seen in these images and a bit more practical too.

The Jimny 5-door is expected to be launched next year and will compete with the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha in the lifestyle SUV segment.
