Maruti introduces up to 5 years / 1 lakh km extended warranty

Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new 5 years / 1,00,000 km plan under the 'Forever Yours' extended warranty program. Maruti offers 2 years / 40,000 km warranty on all its cars as standard. In addition to this, customers can now choose from three extended warranty plans - EW Gold (up to 3 years or 60,000 km), EW Platinum (up to 4 years or 80,000 km) or EW Royal Platinum (up to 5 years or 1,00,000 km). According to the company, these plans can be availed prior to the lapse of standard warranty.

Parts that are covered under extended warranty include the engine, turbocharger assembly, high pressure pump, compressor, Electronic Control Module (ECM), starter motor assembly, steering assembly, struts, etc. Consumables like bulbs, battery, tyres, spark plugs, brake linings, belts, hoses, filters, etc. are not covered under warranty.

According to the Nexa website, cars sold under this brand are offered with a choice of two extended warranty plans - Platinum (up to 4 years or 80,000 km) or Royal Platinum (up to 5 years or 1,00,000 km).
