Maruti Ciaz facelift spotted completely undisguised

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift has been spotted without camouflage at a stockyard. The latest spy images reveal the car's updated front fascia and other exterior details.

The new Ciaz gets a slimmer front grille flanked by a set of redesigned headlamps. The front bumper has been tweaked and it now features a wide air dam with fog lamps on either side. The grille, headlamps and fog lamp pods have silver trim. One of the cars appears to have chrome door handles and a chrome strip on the window line. The tail lamps look similar to the outgoing version though and the rear bumper has the familiar black inserts as well. One of the cars sports new design 12-spoke alloy wheels in a gunmetal shade. These could be offered on the top spec trim, while the existing alloys could come on the lower variants. According to recent spy images, the new Ciaz is expected to get cruise control

Under the bonnet, the Ciaz facelift is likely to receive a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine, which replaces the 1.4-litre unit. The 1.3-litre oil burner will be carried over for the time being until the rumoured 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel is ready. Transmission options might include a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. Reports suggest that Maruti is working on a new 6-speed gearbox as well.

Maruti Suzuki hasn't made any official announcement regarding the launch of the Ciaz facelift however media reports suggest that it could be launched around August 2018.
