Test mules of the Maruti Ciaz facelift have been spotted on numerous occasions in the past, but a new set of spy images which have surfaced online give us a peek into the car's interior.
The images suggest that the new Ciaz could be offered with cruise control. The 3-spoke steering wheel looks similar to the one on the S-Cross and it appears to have a cruise control switch on the right-hand side. The dual-tone interiors come with silver trim on the door pads and around the air-conditioning vents.
Media reports suggest that the updated Ciaz could be offered with a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. It is likely to be the same engine that was introduced in the second generation Ertiga in South-East Asian markets. The new engine develops 103 BHP and 138 Nm of torque. A diesel mild-hybrid variant powered by a new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine is rumoured to be launched sometime next year. This particular test mule appears to have a 5-speed manual transmission, although rumours suggest that a 6-speed gearbox is in the works.
