Maruti Baleno gets ISOFIX mounts

The Maruti Baleno now comes with ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard. This addition has been made to improve child safety in the car.

ISOFIX mounts are anchor points that are used to attach a child seat to the car's rear bench. They are considered to be the easiest and safest way to anchor child seats inside a car. ISOFIX mounts can secure a combined weight of 33 kg. Safely strapped child seats can prove to be a life saver in case of a mishap.

The Baleno is sold through Maruti's NEXA dealership chain. The car also gets various other safety features as standard, including dual airbags, ABS, EBD and front seatbelt with pre-tensioners.

Maruti had recently added ISOFIX mounts to the Ciaz sedan as well.
