Mahindra Scorpio-N based Global Pik Up concept unveiled

The Global Pik Up concept is based on the Scorpio-N. It will enter into production in 2025.

Mahindra has unveiled a new pickup truck concept called the 'Global Pik Up' at an event in South Africa.

The Global Pik Up Vision concept is based on the Scorpio-N. It features a dual-cab design with a loading bay at the rear. It has a bold front fascia derived from the Scorpio-N. It includes a large black grille flanked by a set of LED headlights and a chunky front bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights.

At the rear, the pickup truck has rectangular wraparound tail lamp clusters and a rugged bumper with integrated tow hooks at both ends. The vehicle is also equipped with a snorkel, side steps, a roof rack and a tyre carrier.

The Global Pik Up concept uses Mahindra's Gen-2 mHawk diesel engine. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission and comes with 4-wheel drive.

According to the company, the production version will have 5G connectivity, semi-automatic parking, level 2 ADAS, a sunroof and four drive modes - Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut, and Sand. The vehicle has been developed for markets like India, South and Central America, Australia, Africa and the ASEAN region. It will enter into production in 2025.
