Land Rover Discovery Sport, Evoque get Ingenium petrol engine

The Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque have been launched with the car maker's Ingenium petrol engine. Prices start at Rs. 49.20 lakh and Rs. 51.06 lakh respectively.

The new engine will be available with the SE and HSE variants of the Discovery Sport whereas on the Range Rover Evoque, they will be available only on the SE and the HSE Dynamic trim levels.

The 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine uses a lightweight aluminium block. It produces 237 BHP @ 5,000-6,000 rpm and 340 Nm of torque @ 1,500-4,000 rpm and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This engine is also available in the Evoque Convertible and the Range Rover Velar.
