KTM 790 Duke launched at Rs. 8.64 lakh

KTM has launched the 790 Duke in India. The naked street bike is priced at Rs. 8,63,945 (ex-showroom, India).

The 790 Duke is based on a Chromium-Molybdenum-Steel frame. It measures 2,128 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 1,475 mm. The dry weight of the bike is 169 kg and it comes with a 14-litre fuel tank.

The 790 Duke looks similar to other Duke models in KTM's line up. It has an LED headlamp with LED daytime running lights and a full-colour TFT instrument cluster. The bike has a stepped seat and a single side-mounted exhaust.

The 790 Duke is powered by a 799cc, parallel twin engine that delivers 103 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 87 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and comes with four riding modes - Sport, Street, Rain and Track.

The bike rides on 43 mm upside down fork suspension at the front and has a monoshock at the rear. It is equipped with twin 300 mm discs brakes with 4-piston calipers at the front and a 240 mm disc with a single piston caliper at the rear.

Other features include Switchable Cornering ABS, Quickshifter with Motor Slip Regulation (MSR), traction control, stability control, adjustable throttle response and launch control.
