Kia Seltos launched at Rs. 9.69 lakh

Kia has launched the Seltos in India. The car is priced from Rs. 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is available in two trim levels - Tech Line and GT Line.

The Kia Seltos measures 4,315 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,620 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. Its boot capacity is 433 litres. The car features a tiger nose grille with a chrome frame, LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and a dual-tone front bumper that houses a set of fog lamps. At the rear, the Seltos gets wraparound tail lamps with a chrome garnish in between and bumper with silver fake vents and a skid plate.

The Kia Seltos is offered in either black or dual-tone interiors depending on the variant. It has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and comes with a Bose audio system and Kia's UVO Connect features. The car's front centre armrest houses air-conditioning vents for the rear passengers and a digital temperature readout. The SUV has a 3-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel and a twin-dial instrument cluster with a large MID in the centre. Other features include a head-up display, automatic climate control, electric sunroof, cruise control, ventilated front seats, power driver's seat, reclining rear seat, rear sunshade, 360-degree camera and ambient lighting.

The Seltos is available with three engine options. These include a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 113 BHP and 144 Nm of torque paired with either a 6-speed manual or IVT automatic transmission, a 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol engine that puts out 138 BHP and 242 Nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit that makes 113 BHP and 250 Nm of torque, which is available with a choice of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Seltos has three driving modes - Normal, Eco and Sport and three terrain modes - Wet, Mud and Sand.

Some of the safety features offered on the Seltos include 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, Vehicle Stability Management, hill-start assist, front and rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitor.

The Kia Seltos is available in 8 monotone colour options - Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Punchy Orange, Intelligency Blue, Gravity Gray, Steel Silver and Clear White and 5 dual-tone options, which include Intense Red with Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver with Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl, Steel Silver with punchy Orange and Glacier White Pearl with Punchy Orange.
