Kia Clavis compact SUV (codenamed: AY) spied for the first time

The Kia Clavis is expected to be positioned between the Sonet and the Seltos.

Kia is expanding its compact SUV line-up with a new model, known internally as 'AY'. It has been recently spotted testing for the first time.

Rumours suggest that the new compact SUV from Kia could be called 'Clavis'. It is expected to be positioned between the Sonet and the Seltos. 

The Kia Clavis is believed to be a sub-4 meter crossover. The latest spy images have revealed a boxy design with short front and rear overhangs. The test mule was sporting dual-tone alloy wheels.

While details of the Kia Clavis are scarce, reports suggest that it could get multiple powertrain options, including hybrids. Kia might also introduce a pure-EV version of the Clavis in the future.
