Kawasaki working on electric, hybrid & hydrogen-powered bikes

Kawasaki could soon introduce new electric, hybrid or hydrogen powered motorcycles.

Kawasaki has announced that the company is working on electric, hybrid and hydrogen fuel powered motorcycles for its future.

The Japanese two-wheeler brand is currently seeking out alliances and partnerships to promote its KHI Motorcycle & Engine business. The partnerships between Kawasaki and the various companies are said to result in the development of new motorcycles, as well as newer technologies including hybridisation.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) also announced that they will establish a new company - Kawasaki Motors Ltd, in October 2021. This new company will focus on KHI's two-wheeler business by setting up new lifestyle stores to help expand its customer base even further.

The company is currently working on its first fully electric motorcycle offering, the Endeavour. The pure-electric Kawasaki Endeavour motorcycle is said to come with performance levels equal to that of a 400cc offering. It is also expected to feature a fully-faired design, similar to the brand's Ninja range. However, details of the upcoming electric motorcycle are still very scarce.
