Kawasaki launches KX 85 & KLX 300R dirt bikes in India

The KX 85 and KLX 300R dirt bikes will be imported via the CBU route.

Kawasaki has launched two new dirt bikes in the Indian market. The 2024 KX 85 is priced at Rs 4.20 lakh and the KLX 300R costs Rs 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Both models will be imported via the CBU route.

The Kawasaki KX 85 is powered by an 84cc single-cylinder 2-stroke engine. It is paired with a close ratio 6-speed transmission.

The KX 85 is based on a tubular, semi-double cradle frame and features a 36 mm inverted cartridge fork at the front offering 275 mm of travel and a Uni Trak rear suspension with a fully adjustable KYB shock at the rear.

The KX 85 is equipped with 202 mm and 150 mm disc brakes at the front and rear, respectively and rides on Dunlop MX33 tyres

KLX 300R uses a 292cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine that makes 28.6 BHP and 26.3 Nm. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox.

The KLX 300R is equipped with a 43 mm inverted front fork and a Uni Trak single shock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 270 mm semi-floating front disc and a 240 mm petal-type disc at the rear.
