Classic Legends has launched the Jawa 42 FJ in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Jawa 42 FJ uses the bigger 334cc engine.
The engine in question is the same unit that powers the Jawa 350. However, on the Jawa 42 FJ, the engine produces 28.7 BHP and 29.6 Nm, slightly more than the Jawa 350, which has 22.2 BHP and 28.1 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slip-and-assist clutch.
The overall design of the Jawa 42 FJ is similar to the standard Jawa 42. It has a circular LED headlamp, a single-pod instrument console, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a single-piece seat.
The Jawa 42 FJ is equipped with a telescopic fork at the front and has dual shock absorbers at the rear. Customers get the option of either spoked or alloy wheels, while braking is handled by discs at both ends supported by dual-channel ABS.
The Jawa 42 FJ rivals models like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, which recently received an update.
