A test mule of the Isuzu MU-X facelift has been spotted in India for the first time, which indicates that the carmaker could be planning to launch the updated model sometime in the future.
The spy images suggest that the MU-X facelift is likely to get an updated front end with a twin-slat grille, a set of new headlights with projectors and integrated U-shaped LED DRLs. The ORVMs appear to have chrome housings with integrated turn signals. At the rear, the MU-X facelift comes with new tail lamp clusters. The test car can also be seen sporting new multi-spoke alloy wheels.
The interior of the SUV is expected to be based on the MU-X facelift that is currently on sale in Southeast Asian markets. It is expected to get new upholstery, a refreshed dual-tone dashboard and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The MU-X facelift will be mechanically identical to the current model, which is powered by a 3.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine. It makes 174 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and a peak torque of 380 Nm @ 1,800-2,800 rpm and comes paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and a low range gearbox.
