Hyundai has announced the prices of the Ioniq 5 N. The new performance EV is offered at a price tag of US$ 67,475 - making it Hyundai's most expensive car ever made.
The top-spec Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is powered by an 84 kWh battery pack, paired with dual electric motors (one on each axle), giving it an all-wheel-drive setup. The electric motors produce a combined power output of 600 BHP and 740 Nm. This can be further increased for 10 seconds via the 'N Grin Boost' to 641 BHP and 770 Nm. In normal mode, the Ioniq 5 N is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 260 km/h. All this also makes the Ioniq 5 N the most powerful car ever made by Hyundai.
The Ioniq 5 N is 80 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 20 mm lower than the standard EV. The performance model also gets an N-specific Blue paint scheme, along with an aggressive body kit like a rear diffuser, side skirts, and mesh air curtains. The Ioniq 5 N runs on 21-inch forged aluminium wheels with EV-specific Pirelli P-Zero tyres.
The N-specific elements are carried over to its interiors as well. Some of these include N-branded seats, a chunkier steering wheel and a black theme with blue accents all around the cabin. The EV also comes with a faux transmission system which simulates the shifts of a dual-clutch gearbox via motor jolts and fake sounds.
