Indonesia: Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift unveiled

Suzuki has unveiled the facelifted Ertiga MPV in Indonesia. The car gets some cosmetic changes and additional features.

At the front, the Ertiga gets a wide grille with horizontal chrome slats, a restyled front bumper with horizontal slats for the air dam and redesigned fog lamp housings with chrome inserts. At the rear, the car gets a redesigned bumper with reflectors at both ends but is loses the centrally-positioned fog lamp. There is also a thick chrome strip above the number plate housing with the letters Ertiga embossed on it and reflectors at both ends. The Ertiga also gets a new set of alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Ertiga still does not get climate control or a starter button. However, it is now be available with electrically retractable door mirrors and the driver's side power window gets "auto up" function. The Ertiga also gets new fabric upholstery, and a 50:50 split folding third row of seats. Dual airbags have been made a part of standard equipment as well.

While the Ertiga facelift continues with the same 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine as its predecessor, the company claims to have tuned it for better fuel efficiency. The 1.4-litre petrol unit now produces 92 BHP against the old cars 94 BHP. The car continues to be available with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
