Hyundai has unveiled the Venue compact SUV in India, alongside its global preview at the 2019 New York Auto Show.
The Hyundai Venue measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width and 1,590 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2,500 mm. It features a cascade grille with chrome inserts flanked by split headlamps. The slim lights on top of the main headlamp clusters house the pilot lamps and turn signals. It has projector headlights surrounded by rectangular LED daytime running lights. The dual-tone front bumper houses a pair of fog lamps and has silver inserts and a skid plate.
The car has flared wheel arches with dual-tone alloy wheels, roof rails and ORVMs with integrated turn signals. At the rear, the new Venue comes with rectangular tail lamps and a dual-tone bumper with a silver skid plate and reversing lights.
The Venue comes with black interiors with silver trim on the dashboard, centre console and steering wheel and silver door handles. It has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai's Bluelink features, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-dial instrument cluster with a MID in the centre. Other features include an electric sunroof, cruise control, wireless charging and remote climate control with rear AC vents.
In India, the Venue will be available with three engine options - a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which makes 118 BHP and 172 Nm of torque and comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch and a manual transmission, a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 82 BHP and 115 Nm of torque paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 1.4-litre diesel unit that puts out 89 BHP and 220 Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
