Hyundai unveils ix25 compact SUV at Beijing Motor Show

South Korean carmaker, Hyundai has unveiled the ix25 Compact SUV at the ongoing Beijing International Automobile Exhibition. The car has been developed specifically for the Chinese market where it will be launched in the second half of the year.

The smallest SUV in Hyundai's line-up, the ix25 is 4,270 mm long, 1,780 mm wide and 1,630 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,590 mm. With looks based on Hyundai's Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy, the car is aimed at the younger generation. A 2.0-litre Nu engine will be used to power the ix25.

The ix25 has been billed as a rival for the Ford EcoSport, but it is unclear whether it will make it to the Indian market or not.
