Hyundai has showcased its Blue Link connectivity features that will debut on the upcoming Venue compact SUV.
Hyundai Blue Link consists of 33 features, out of which 10 are exclusively designed for India. The system uses a built-in SIM card.
Blue Link comes with safety features such as Auto Crash Notification, SOS / Emergency Assistance and Road Side Assistance. Buttons to activate some of these features are provided on the IRVM. According to Hyundai, the system sends an SMS to emergency contacts in case of an accident. It also sends out a notification to the call centre.
If the vehicle is stolen, Blue Link sends a notification to the owner. The owner can also track the vehicle and can immobilize it remotely. Other security features such as Geo-fence alert, speed alert, valet alert, time fencing alert and idle alert are also available.
Further, the system allows users to remotely, lock or unlock the doors, activate the horn and lights, check vehicle status, find car location, start the engine and operate the air-conditioning.
The system also allows the owner to check the health of the vehicle. The system creates a monthly health report and provides information about driving behaviour and checks for trouble codes.
The system offers location-based services like real-time traffic information, vehicle tracking, Push Maps from app to the car and Push Maps from the call centre. It lets users access the navigation, make phone calls and check weather with voice commands.
