Hyundai reveals design renderings of Creta

Hyundai has revealed design renderings of the upcoming Creta compact SUV.

The Creta's design is based on Hyundai's evolved Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. The image of the exterior shows the car with a singular hexagonal radiator grille with three horizontal slats, projector headlamps, skid plates, black body cladding and blackened A and B-pillars. However, roof rails are missing.

Coming to the interiors, the Creta is seen with a dual-tone dashboard, multi-function steering wheel, climate control, LCD display for the infotainment system  and a central armrest at the front and a couple of cup holders. There also appears to be an air-conditioner vent for the rear passengers. A touchscreen for the infotainment system is missing.

The Creta is expected to measure 4.27 metres in length and is likely to be a challenger for the Renault Duster. It will have 5 seats and is expected to be powered by the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines. A 1.4-litre diesel power plant is also likely to be offered.

Reports suggest that the Creta will be launched on July 21, 2015.
