Hyundai Ioniq 5 bookings to open on December 20

The Ioniq 5 will be Hyundai’s second EV for the Indian market.

Hyundai has announced that bookings for the Ioniq 5 electric crossover will open on December 20, 2022.

The Ioniq 5 will be Hyundai’s second EV for the Indian market. It is based on Hyundai's Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

Globally, the Ioniq 5 is offered with two battery options: 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh, offering up to 480 km of range (WLTP cycle). The base version is powered by a single electric motor which has an output of 165 BHP and 350 Nm. The dual-motor version packs 298 BHP and 605 Nm and is said to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.

The Ioniq 5 features a futuristic design with angular surfaces on the exterior. It comes with dual LED headlamps with pixelated LED tail lights, flush-fitting door handles and unique dual-tone alloys. The EV gets a minimalistic interior with a dual floating screen and a 2-spoke steering wheel.
