Hyundai i10 facelift revealed in Europe

The facelifted Hyundai i10 has been revealed in Europe, ahead of its official public debut at this year's Paris Motor Show in October. The facelifted model was also recently spotted testing in India, pointing towards a launch in the near future. It must be noted that the Euro-Spec i10 features a different C-Pillar design as compared to the one offered in India.

The revealed facelift shows that the car retains its C-Pillar design, while the major changes have been made at the front. The facelifted model gets a redesigned front grille, circular LED DRLs placed at the corner of the grille, and boomerang-shaped fog light enclosures with round fog lamps. The side profile and silhouette of the car remain identical to that of the current model, though it gets a new set of alloy wheels, which look similar to the one offered with the Xcent compact sedan in India. The rear now comes with a new bumper that accommodates a black inlay and two circular rear fog lamps.

There aren’t any major changes on the inside. The revealed image shows a black and red treatment to the dashboard which includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system supports navigation, and is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In the European market, the facelifted i10 will retain the 1.0-litre and 1.25-litre petrol engines which are available either with a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT. It also gets safety equipment like front collision warning system and lane departure warning system.

The Indian-spec car is expected to continue with the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre diesel engines of the Grand i10 model.
