Hyundai has launched the second-generation Grand i10 called the Grand i10 NIOS in India. The car is priced from Rs. 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Grand i10 NIOS measures 3,805 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width and 1,520 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. It features a cascade grille with V-shaped LED daytime running lights, large sweptback projector headlamps and circular fog lamps. It gets ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators, chrome door handles and dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the car features wraparound tail lamps and a body coloured bumper with integrated reflectors. It has a chrome strip on the lower edge of the tail gate and 'NIOS' lettering in the centre.
The Grand i10 NIOS comes with dual-tone interiors. The dashboard has textured silver inserts and circular air-conditioning vents on either side. The centre console houses an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and an instrument cluster with a 5.3-inch MID. Other features include automatic climate control, wireless charging, rear power outlet, cooled glove box, engine start/stop button, rear AC vents, rear parking camera and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs.
The Grand i10 NIOS is powered by a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 82 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm @ 4,000 rpm and a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder diesel unit that puts out 74 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm @ 1,750-2,250 rpm. Both engines are available with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.
Safety features offered in the new Grand i10 NIOS include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder and rear parking sensors.
