Hyundai Creta records over 1 lakh bookings!

The title above may sound impressive, but not surprising to many. The Hyundai Creta has officially crossed 1 lakh bookings. The SUV has found favour with Indian car buyers and around 56,000 units have been delivered so far. Hyundai will be raising the Creta's production levels by 30% to a total of 13,000 units per month of which, 10,000 units will be allocated to the domestic market.

The Creta has been well received in global markets such as Latin America (Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru & Panama), the Middle East (Oman, UAE, Saudi) and Africa (Egypt, Morocco & Nigeria) as well and has generated 28,000 orders overseas. So far, Hyundai has exported over 16,000 units of the SUV.

In India, the Creta is available with three engine options – 1.6L Gamma Dual VTVT (petrol), 1.6L U2 CRDi VGT (diesel) and the 1.4L U2 CRDi (diesel). All the engines get 6-speed manual transmissions as standard. The 1.6L diesel is available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox as well. Prices of the Creta currently range from Rs. 9.15 lakh - Rs. 14.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
