Honda has trademarked the 'X-ADV' name in India, leading to speculations that the company could be planning to introduce its adventure scooter in the market.

The Honda X-ADV made its debut at EICMA 2016. It is a cross between a maxi-scooter and an adventure bike. The latest-gen model features sleek LED headlamps with L-shaped LED daytime running lights and a 5-inch digital console with voice control.

The X-ADV has a raised handlebar equipped with knuckle guards and a large windscreen. It even comes with 21-litres of under-seat storage space.

Powering the Honda X-ADV is a 745cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor that delivers 58 BHP @ 6,750 rpm and 69 Nm @ 4,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The X-ADV comes equipped with upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 296 mm rotors at the front with a single 240 mm disc at the rear.
