On the other hand, the new CR-V is offered with a choice of a 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with 170 BHP and 224 Nm of torque paired with a CVT or a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine with 158 BHP and 350 Nm mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It comes with optional all-wheel drive.
In addition to these, Honda will launch 3 new products, the details of which weren't disclosed. The company would be studying all possibilities including the compact SUV segment. Further, Honda is keen to bring more hybrid models from its global line-up to India. The company reiterated that the hybrid vehicles would be the right stepping stone for transitioning to fully electric vehicles.
