Honda CB Unicorn 160 gets BSIV engine and Auto Headlamp On

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has silently updated the CB Unicorn 160, which now comes with a BSIV engine and Auto Headlamp On (AHO) feature. This update has been made to make the bike compliant with the upcoming government norms that are expected to be made applicable from April 2017.

The updated CB Unicorn 160 is taller by 2 mm, as compared to the earlier model. The bike also gets a new Matte Marvel Blue Metallic paint shade, in addition to the existing four colours - Pearl Ingenious Black, Matte Axis Grey, Pearl Amazing White and Imperial Red Metallic. The red and white colour options now come with new graphics as well. Other cosmetic changes made to the 2017 Honda CB Unicorn include a revised front visor.

Powering the new CB Unicorn 160 is a 162.71 cc single-cylinder engine that is now BSIV compliant. It produces 13.82 BHP and 13.92 Nm of torque, while being mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension setup is identical to the earlier model, and thus employs telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear, along with Honda's Combi-Braking System (CBS).

The standard variant of the CB Unicorn 160 BSIV now costs Rs. 73,552 while the CBS variant is priced at Rs. 76,005 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).
