Harley-Davidson LiveWire e-bike unveiled in India

Harley-Davidson has unveiled its LiveWire electric bike in India.

The LiveWire is Harley-Davidson's first electric motorcycle. It made its global debut in September 2018. The bike has a round headlamp with a shroud and a 4.3-inch touchscreen instrument cluster. It has upside-down telescopic fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

The LiveWire is powered by an electric motor that has an output of 105 BHP and 116 Nm. It has seven riding modes - Road, Rain, Range, Sport and three custom modes. The bike is claimed to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, while the claimed maximum range is 235 km thanks to the 15.5 kWh battery. The bike maker claims that the battery can be recharged in 12 hours via a Level 1 on-board charger. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be replenished in just 60 minutes.

The bike features twin 300 mm disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear. It comes equipped with cornering ABS, Harley's Reflex Defensive Rider System (RDRS), cornering traction control, front-wheel lift mitigation and drag-torque slip control system.

There is no word yet on whether Harley-Davidson will offer the LiveWire in India.
