Harley-Davidson to develop a 338cc bike for Asian markets

Harley-Davidson is collaborating with Qianjiang Motorcycle Company Limited of China to launch smaller capacity motorcycles for the Asian market. The companies plan to co-develop a 338cc bike, which will initially be offered in China and could be introduced in other Asian markets later.

The new model is said to have the look, sound and feel of a Harley. Qianjiang will produce the engine for the bike at its plant in China.

The collaboration is part of the American bike maker's growth plan called 'More Roads to Harley-Davidson', that was announced in July 2018. The company plans to grow its international business to 50% of annual volume by 2027.
