Got a Stage 1 plus remap on my Ford Aspire diesel: Initial impressions

About 10 days back, I finally did what i had been itching to do so from quite a while - I got my car Wolfd!!

I got the Stage 1 plus remap done at EE-Whitefield for the car and BOY!! I regret all those days that I delayed taking the decision.

The engine feels super smooth. I felt all these days there was something holding back those moving parts of the car, but now it just glides like wow!

Last weekend, I drove to my home town on the pathetic Bengaluru-Tumkur + the awesome Tumkur-Hubli road and if you are not careful, you will not know when the speedo hits triple digit speeds. The magic is felt just at the moment the turbo starts to spool. With all the josh happening, I was not too concerned with the mileage (never was) but still, the MID showed an average of 19.7 KMPL. I am told that there is nothing that needs to be done - be it oil change / air filter / service intervals etc.

The guy who flashed the ECU did suggest to replace my stock filter to a K&N filter in the next change. I had replaced mine in the July at the ASS for the 7th year annual service. The car has completed close to 45,000 kms from 2017 till date.

A big thank you to all the Ford car owners in this forum who shared in their experience after getting their cars remapped. It gave me the confidence to go ahead and bite the bullet.
