Fuel efficiency of my 2024 Creta facelift on highways and in the city

I used to drive a Maruti Ritz diesel earlier and on my recent road trip, my Hyundai Creta's fuel economy put a smile on my face.

I took M out for a planned round trip of 900+ km today. Covered around 455 km as part of native visit. I must say, I was pretty impressed with the drive comfort. No complaints from the missus who was in the rear seat with my 10-month-old.

I did not feel any lag though I have an IVT (For reference, I used to drive a Ritz diesel manual earlier).

The mileage before stopping for breakfast put a smile on my face - 19.1 kmpl over 170 km.

I drove with the AC set to 24 throughout. The second half of the journey of 270kms which included some single-lane highways gave a mileage of 16.5 kmpl.

Comparatively, I am getting 8.5 to 10 kmpl in Bangalore office traffic at 9.00 where it takes 45 mins on average to travel 10 km. All mileages are as seen on the display.
