Ford launches Aspire Sports Edition at Rs. 6.51 lakh

The Ford Aspire Sports Edition has been launched in India. This special edition model gets some minor cosmetic updates and a retuned suspension setup. The Sports Editions have been priced at a premium of Rs. 34,000 as compared to the regular Aspire Titanium trims.

Cosmetically, the Aspire Sports gets the same front grille as the regular model, though the horizontal slats have been blacked out. The swept-back headlamps have been given a smoked treatment. It also comes with new 15-inch alloy wheels that are finished in a silver tone. The Aspire Sports Edition can be opted in seven colour options - Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Ingot Silver, Deep Impact Blue and Smoke Grey.

While the regular Aspire Titanium comes with a dual-tone dashboard layout, the Sport Edition models get an all-black cabin. The leather wrapped steering wheel and the seat upholstery are adorned with fog grey stitching. All features on offer have been borrowed from the regular Aspire's Titanium variants.

Except for the retuned suspension setup, no other mechanical changes have been made to the compact sedan. As a result, the Sports Edition will be available with two engine options - a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol rated at 87 BHP and 113 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel that develops 99 BHP and 215 Nm of torque. The only transmission option on offer will be a 5-speed manual.
