Ford Figo Sports Edition launched at Rs. 6.32 lakh

Ford India has launched the Figo Sports Edition in India. It is based on the regular model's Titanium variant. The Sports Edition gets some cosmetic tweaks and a re-tuned suspension setup. The special edition models have been priced at a premium of Rs. 50,000, over the regular Titanium variants.

The Figo Sports gets a new mesh grille at the front that is flanked on both sides by a pair of smoked headlights. It also features a blackened roof and ORVMs and side decals with an S badge. Another addition is a new set of 15-inch black alloy wheels. At the rear, the Figo Sports comes with a roof mounted spoiler and a few decals on the bumper. It is available in five colour options - Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black and Ingot Silver.

The interiors get an all-black treatment. Features on offer have been carried forward from the Titanium variant. However, some alterations have been made to the Sports Edition's cabin, including a leather wrapped steering wheel that is stitched with contrasting red coloured thread and seats that also get the same thread treatment.

The Figo Sports Edition is available with the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines as the regular Figo Titanium. The petrol unit is a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder motor that churns out 87 BHP and 113 Nm of torque, while the diesel is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine rated at 99 BHP and 215 Nm. Both these engines are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.5-litre petrol engine available with a dual clutch automatic gearbox on the regular Figo is not available with the Sports Edition.
