The Ford Aspire facelift was first spotted in Turkey back in August 2017. The updated compact sedan has now been spotted near Ford's manufacturing unit in Sanand, Gujarat.
The pre-production prototype has been wrapped in heavy camouflage, however some details are visible. It gets a revised honeycomb grille and a tweaked front bumper. The headlights have been covered under a black mesh and it suggests that the Aspire might get a revised set of headlamps, perhaps with integrated LED DRLs as well. The tail lamps though seem to be identical to the current model. The test car was also equipped with black alloy wheels and 4 rear parking sensors.
Inside, the Aspire facelift is likely to get a revised dashboard with a floating touchscreen infotainment screen.
Like the upcoming Figo facelift and the Figo crossover, the compact sedan is likely to receive the new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine. It produces 94 BHP and 115 Nm of peak torque. The new engine is derived from the 1.5-litre Dragon Series engine that debuted on the EcoSport. Meanwhile, the existing 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine will be carried over.
Although Ford has not announced the official launch date, the Aspire facelift is expected to be launched sometime in 2018.
