First long drive in my Mahindra XUV 3XO: My few observations

The 360-degree camera is a boon and does its job well even in sparsely lit areas.

BHPian rhk_3XO recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Took the car on my first long drive over the long weekend. The car performed splendidly over the entire duration of the trip without any major niggles.

Some of my observations:

  • The AC and the music system performed extremely well over the entire duration
  • Since the road is mostly under construction, I had to take some diversions through the jungles with unpaved safari-like roads with traffic on both sides. Got some micro scratches on the side due to the bushes and thorns. Hopefully, they will not show and a good polish should take care of them. I haven't opted for PPF or any coating so far.
  • I drove the entire duration in ZAP mode only and I felt that the steering was very light at slow speeds and it took a little while to get accustomed to the feedback. As the speed increases, the steering gets heavy and responds better.
  • The is a warning sound played when the speed crosses 80KMPH. With music on, I could barely hear any noise inside the cabin and there were absolutely no vibrations at least upto 110KMPH. The car handled itself beautifully.
  • The 360-degree camera is a boon and does its job well even in sparsely lit areas.
  • For some reason, maps didn't work and I had to follow the voice instructions on Google Maps on my phone. I have to play around with the infotainment system a bit more

Overall, it was a fun trip and I know now that me and my car are understanding each other really well. Our future looks bright together.

I am not a fan of large amounts of chrome but the tail-lamp applique stands out and enhances the look of the car from the back.
