Fiat to launch 500 Abarth in India - teaser released

Earlier this week, we had reported that Fiat India might launch the 595 Competizione Abarth shortly. Now, the company has released a teaser on its website suggesting that the launch may not be too far away.

The 595 Competizione is the high performance sibling of the Fiat 500. It is powered by a turbocharged petrol engine that produces 158 bhp and 230 Nm of torque. The car is likely to be offered with an automated manual transmission and a regular manual transmission.

The exterior of the Abarth 595 Competizione features Abarth badges, body graphics, a roof-mounted rear spoiler, aggressive rear bumper, twin exhausts and 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 205/40 section tyres. On the inside, there is a flat-bottomed steering wheel, race seats, turbo boost gauge with gear shift indicator and sunroof.

The Abarth 595 Competizione is expected to be pitted against the Mini Cooper.
