Eco Rent a Car introduces premium self-drive options

Over the past few months, self-driving rental cars have increased in popularity and have become a good alternative to rental cabs. Several players such as Myles, Zoomcar, Revv, Voler etc. have penetrated the market, giving customers the option to experience their fleet of cars without actually owning them. ECO Rent a Car has gone a step further and introduced a range of premium vehicles that customers could rent and drive themselves.

ECO Rent a Car is offering premium vehicles such as the Audi Q7, Audi A6, BMW 3, 5 & 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class (among others), which customers can rent on a daily basis. The service has begun in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune. Customers willing to rent these premium vehicles will have to shell out Rs. 22,000 / day for the S-Class, 7-Series and Audi Q7; Rs. 12,000 / day for an E-Class; and Rs. 8,000 / day for the 3-Series. Their economy self-drive rentals include cars like the Indica, Etios, Corolla, Innova and Fortuner.

Recently, most of these self-driving rental car providers introduced an added facility of pick and drop to customers. ECO Rent a Car also offers this facility at an additional charge of Rs. 500 in Delhi (cost might differ in other cities).

ECO Rent a Car has its services spread across 79 cities in India and boasts of a fleet of 2,500 vehicles. This is a brick and mortar company, built on a part-owned / part-aggregation model.
