Ducati Panigale V4 bookings re-opened

Ducati had launched the Panigale V4 in India in January 2018. Only 20 units were initially allotted for India, which according to the company were sold within a week of the announcement. Given the demand for the superbike, Ducati has now decided to re-open bookings and bring in additional units. However, the bike maker hasn't disclosed the exact number of the bikes it intends to import into the country. There are two variants on offer - V4 and V4 S, priced at Rs. 20.53 lakh and Rs. 25.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India) respectively.

The Panigale V4 is Ducati's first 4-cylinder bike, which made its debut at the 2017 EICMA motor show. It is based around an aluminium alloy frame with 43 mm, upside down Showa shocks in the front and a Sachs monoshock in the rear, while the V4 S gets Ohlins suspension at both ends. The Panigale V4 features triangular vents in the front with twin LED headlights placed within the cavity with LED DRL strips on top. The bike comes with a 5-inch TFT colour display and twin exhausts.

The Panigale V4 is powered by a 1,103 cc, 90-degree V4 engine that produces 211 BHP @ 13,000 rpm and 124 Nm of peak torque @ 10,000 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch. It comes with Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) and three riding modes - Race, Sport and Street. Brakes on the Panigale V4 consist of twin 330 mm discs in the front and a single 245 mm disc in the rear with 4-piston and 2-piston Brembo calipers respectively.

Some of the features offered on the Panigale include launch control, traction control, ABS, Ducati Slide Control EVO (DSC), Engine Brake Control EVO (EBC), Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) offered on the V4 S, auto tyre calibration and lithium-ion battery among others.
