Ducati has launched the Multistrada 950 S in India. It is the entry-level model of the Mulistrada range and is priced at Rs. 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Multistrada 950 S combines design elements from the Multistrada 1260 and the 1260 Enduro. It features a twin LED headlamp setup with a prominent beak, an adjustable screen, 5-inch digital instrument cluster, 12 V power sockets and a USB port. The passenger seat, rear grab rail, exhaust and swingarm are inspired by the 1260 Enduro. The bike rides on lightweight aluminium alloy wheels and comes with a 20 litre fuel tank.
The Multistrada 950 S is powered by a 937cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 111 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 96 Nm @ 7,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike features ride-by-wire and comes with a slipper clutch. The bike rides on 48 mm upside down forks at the front and has a monoshock at the rear. The brake setup consists of dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear.
The Multistrada 950 S comes with an array of electronic aids including cornering ABS, traction control, Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), Ducati's semi-active Skyhook Suspension, Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS), Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL) and Cruise Control.
