Datsun Redi-Go spotted testing again

The test mule of the upcoming hatchback from Datsun has been spotted once again. The vehicle is based on the Redi-Go concept that was displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo.

The new images show the front end of the car. Just like the rear, the front design is similar to that of the concept. The grille, headlights and other fittings appear to be carried over from the concept, albeit with minor changes. The car has a single wiper for the front windscreen, low-cost ORVMs and a tail gate with an integrated spoiler.

The Redi-Go will use Renault-Nissan's CMF-A platform, which underpins the Renault Kwid. The car is also likely to use the Kwid's 800cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine and 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Redi-Go will be Datsun's third model in India. According to reports, the company is expected to launch the car in the first quarter of 2016. It is likely to be positioned below the Go hatchback.
