Covid-19: TVS to donate Rs. 25 crore to PM-CARES relief fund

TVS has announced a donation of Rs. 25 crore towards the PM-CARES relief fund to battle the Covid-19 outbreak.

The company's CSR arm called Srinivasan Services Trust (SST) will manufacture and supply 10 lakh protective face masks for essential service providers.

The trust will provide pre-packed cooked meals to police personnel, municipal staff and healthcare workers in Hosur, Padi and Mysuru. SST will also supply dry rations to daily wage workers in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

TVS is also looking into the possibility of collaborating with 3D printing companies to make ventilators.

Earlier this month, TVS had announced that it is spending Rs. 30 crore in the fight against the coronavirus.
