India's first world championship grade radio control race track will be inaugurated on January 09, 2016 in Mumbai. This race track, which is dedicated for radio controlled cars, is located at Mac Queens Bungalow (same bungalow as Candies), St. Andrews Road, Pali Hill, Bandra West, Mumbai - 400050.
Not only will this track host several upcoming competitions, but will also promote this hobby among children, who will be allocated dedicated track times for training purposes.
RC X Racing plans to open race tracks in many cities across India in the near future. Racers will compete at various state and national level competitions held here and a team of the best racers (from among them) will be selected to represent the country in the International World Championship.
To be able to sustain the track expenses and overheads, only cars and hop-up parts purchased through RC X Racing will be allowed to race on the track. In case some parts aren't available, RC X Racing needs to be consulted prior to purchase from an external source in order to not violate the rules.
About the track:
The track surface is made of material imported from Japan, specifically developed for the Mini-Z range of cars. The track is spread over 900 square feet and its layout will be changed regularly for competition purposes. It will be open 7 days a week from 11 am to 11 pm.
About the cars:
These miniature 1:27 cars pack some serious performance and are loaded with real world technologies like active rear suspension, active differential, adjustable caster / camber and a 4-channel transmitter. Just like a regular road car, upgrades are available to enhance their performance.
Here's an interesting video about the Mini-Z RC Cars.
